The Cycle To Work scheme is a Government initiative employee benefit that enables all working adults to save up to 47% on the cost of a bike and/or cycling accessories as well as aiming to make cycling a more attractive way of commuting to work.
The savings are generated by employees paying for their bike and/or accessories from their pre-tax salary (i.e., before tax is assessed or deducted), known as ‘Salary Sacrifice’. Obtaining the bicycle and any accessories this way reduces employees’ taxable income. You can calculate your potential savings here.
